Swiss-type CNC automatic lathes are high-precision machines built for small, complex, high-volume cylindrical components. Unlike conventional lathes, a Swiss-type lathe uses a sliding headstock and a guide bushing that supports the bar right at the cutting point — eliminating deflection and making it the industry standard for long, slender, tight-tolerance parts.
